Decorative interior pieces, modern geometric vases, and sculptural statues require a balance of optical surface luxury and structural permanence. Unlike tabletop gaming minis, interior pieces are exposed to ambient room temperatures, natural sunlight through windows, and everyday touch. Our decorative models feature continuous geometry optimized for flawless silk and matte finishes.
OddityLabs Print Note: Silk PLA achieves its high luster through temperature-dependent expansion. Printing 5–10°C hotter than standard PLA with outer wall speeds under 40mm/s produces a uniform, mirror-like satin sheen.
To give decorative pieces a premium, heavy, ceramic-like feel in hand, increase perimeter wall loops to 4 or 5 rather than raising infill. Extra wall perimeters eliminate internal infill shadows on lighter filaments while dramatically boosting rigidity.
Align the Z-seam to the sharpest corner or use the 'Scarf Joint' / 'Random' seam setting in modern slicers (Bambu Studio / OrcaSlicer) to avoid unsightly vertical acne on smooth, organic statue curves.
OddityLabs home decor models are designed with perfectly planar, non-rocking bases. Adding self-adhesive velvet or cork pads to the underside protects polished wood furniture while adding tactile weight.
Standard single-wall FDM prints are naturally porous due to microscopic micro-gaps between layer lines. To make a 3D printed vase truly watertight, print with 3+ solid perimeters, a 0.6mm line width at slightly higher extrusion temperature (+5°C), or seal the interior with a quick pour of clear epoxy resin.
100% Watertight Mesh Guarantee: All files are pre-verified with 0 degenerate triangles and 0 non-manifold edges.
