Tabletop gaming miniatures demand hyper-fine surface definition, razor-sharp edge contours, and structural resilience to withstand dice rolls, handling, and transport. Every OddityLabs monster and NPC miniature is sculpted specifically with 28mm–32mm heroic tabletop scaling in mind, pre-oriented and tested for minimal support scarring.
OddityLabs Print Note: Adding 15–20% flexible or impact-resistant resin to your standard mix drastically improves durability, allowing delicate spears, staves, and swords to bend rather than fracture during gameplay.
Angle miniatures between 35° and 45° backwards relative to the build plate. This places heavy support contact points on the underside of cloaks, backplates, and bases, keeping the chest armor, face, and weapon edges pristine and scar-free.
For competition-grade miniatures, slice at 0.03mm or 0.025mm layer heights on MSLA printers. Balance exposure times with calibration plates (like the Cones of Calibration) to prevent over-curing and losing fine chainmail and facial expressions.
Wash prints twice in 99% isopropyl alcohol (dirty wash then clean ultrasonic wash). Ensure prints are bone-dry before UV curing. Apply a micro-fine acrylic primer (such as Vallejo or Citadel) in light dust coats to preserve micropores for hobby painting.
Resin (SLA/DLP) is the undisputed gold standard for 28mm–32mm miniatures because it captures sub-50-micron facial details, sharp cloth folds, and fine weapon edges with zero visible layer stepping. FDM is ideal for large dragons, titan bosses, and terrain pieces.
100% Watertight Mesh Guarantee: All files are pre-verified with 0 degenerate triangles and 0 non-manifold edges.
